Light Horizon
‘Light Horizon’ is a group of composite drawings exploring the theory of a ‘mirrored universe’- a hypothetical paradigm of the cosmos in which a distant boundary is reflective- the result of which being multiple images of the same galaxy all appearing unique, observed in reflection at different stages of evolution.
The work inverts the chronology of depth- space, duration and distance are disrupted and ultimately collapse. Each image either draws in or repels- observation, surface and distance superimpose to form an alternative theory of ‘horizon’.
The age of light is questioned.
Everything is fractionally in the past.
Depth is a measure of duration.
Visualization is revealed as a contradictory act- the informational zone between illumination and blinding.
